MAG EVENT BAROMETER:

Learning from our experiences throughout the years hosting and participating at different Airsoft and MAG events we have seen that there is a need for a clear bench mark that outlines the scale of experience and personal attributes required by all participants that wish to attend an event and or perform a given role within and event.

It’s all very well being enticed by the prestige of being referred as a member an elite unit within an event. But what many people fail to realise is there is also and expectation that goes with that role.

We can all dress the part, but when your 30+ hours into a Mil-Sim event, have walked 20 km to a target and are then told via the command team that you are to sit in the pouring rain and observe the enemy for the reason of gaining intel.

You might wish someone had told you that might happen and that part of being an elite unit entails those sorts of missions in that particular event and then there’s also the other side of the coin.

A team is only as good as its weakest link!

Is it fair on the team to have a member who is totally new to the game with little or no knowledge of what they have put themselves forward for?

Well at MAG we have searched for an answer and believe we have found it in the

MAG EVENT BAROMETER

From now on when ever we post an activity or event either here or in any other media form, you with see the Airsoft Barometer clearly displayed next to any positions/ roles available for that event.

When looking at an event simply look for the barometer or for those events with multible roles/possistions within it, one which suits your level of comfort and experiance.

They are all colour coded so its very simply to follow

Heres an example:
If you see the Clear Glass:

Then that event or position/role is for a complete beginner with NO experience and you will no doubt find there will be an explanation next to the barometer outlining that training and or supervision will be provided.

The mostly Green barometer is tailored for the new player or someone who has been to one of our events before of course there will be an explanation included that outlines what you can expect should you attend and the requirements for you to attend.

The mostly Yellow barometer is tailored for the experienced player and would be someone who has been to more than one of our events before or been involved within an Airsoft Club or organization. It would be expected that they would have their own guns and all other relevant equipment and be knowledgeable in their use.

As always there will be an explanation included that outlines what you can expect should you attend and the requirements for you to attend.

The mostly Red barometer is tailored for the experienced player and would be someone who has been to many of our events or training courses before or been involved within an Airsoft Club or organization for a good period of years. It would be expected that they would have their own guns and all other relevant equipment and be fully knowledgeable in their use and be able to participant at the event without supervision or guidance.

Generally they will be competing at a high end level, but there will be times where the tempo will reduce to yellow levels of play.

As always there will be an explanation included that outlines what you can expect should you attend and the requirements for you to attend.

The Totally Red barometer is tailored for the HARDCORE Veteran player and would be only open to someone who has been to many of our events or training courses before or been involved within a Airsoft Club or organization for a good period of years. It would be expected that they would have their own guns and all other relevant equipment and be fully knowledgeable in their use and be able to participant at the event without supervision or guidance and play at the highest levels of game play at all times.

As always there will be an explanation included that outlines what you can expect should you attend and the requirements for you to attend.

MAG will have final decision on whether you will be able to participant at this level!

That’s the basic 5 barometers as they stand!

As always we at MAG will always push you to experience and achieve more at our events however your safety and enjoyment is paramount to us, so please be honest with yourself and us when applying for an event or a role within one of our events.

MAG reserves the right to have the final say on participant placement at all levels and at all events.
